Overview
The Recordshop website is a local retail website concept for an independent music store. The design focuses on giving the shop a distinctive online presence while making it easy for customers to discover records, browse the webshop and understand what the store offers.
Problem
Independent record shops need more than a basic online brochure. The website has to communicate personality, show the catalogue clearly and guide visitors toward browsing, buying or visiting the physical store.
Solution
The design combines a strong editorial homepage with a practical webshop layout. The homepage creates the first impression with store branding, featured content and clear calls to action, while the webshop view focuses on product discovery and scannable record listings.
Role & Responsibilities
I worked on the website direction, page structure and responsive UI design. The goal was to create a site that feels appropriate for a local record shop while still being practical for everyday browsing and commerce.
Key Features
- Storefront homepage for first-time visitors
- Webshop product browsing experience
- Responsive layout direction for desktop and mobile
- Clear content hierarchy for retail information
- Visual style tailored to a music and vinyl-focused brand
Outcome
The result is a website direction that gives the record shop a stronger digital storefront and a clear path toward a more complete online retail experience.
